The House on the Hill Toy Museum is situated in the village of Stansted Mountfitchet in Essex, three and a half miles from junction 8 of the M11.

From the North or South, go to the M11 and follow the signs to Stansted Airport.
Leave the M11 at Junction 8 and take the A120 exit towards Hertford.
At the next roundabout take the second exit, continuing on the A120.
At the final roundabout take the third exit on to the B1383.
On reaching the centre of Stansted Mountfitchet village, turn right on to the B1051 Chapel Hill.
At the bottom of the hill, turn left and immediately right into the Lower Street Car Park.

The Museum is only a few minutes walk from Stansted Mountfitchet train station.

London Liverpool Street or Tottenham Hale (Victoria Line) to Stansted Mountfitchet.
Cambridge to Stansted Mountfitchet.
Stansted Airport to Stansted Mountfitchet.

There is ample parking for both cars and coaches just outside the museum.

The car park is a "pay and display", owned and operated by Uttlesford District Council.
Current daytime charges for a three hour stay are 80p for cars and £5.00 per day for coaches.
There is no charge on Sundays, Bank Holidays or in the evenings.
