are available at both sites, costing £3.50 at the Castle and £2.00 at the Toy Museum.
Teachers Pre-Visits
Teachers are welcome to visit the Castle and Toy Museum prior to their
school visit. We ask you to pay in the normal way, tell the reception
staff you are a teacher and they will sign your ticket on the reverse.
Then, on the day of the actual school visit, re-present the ticket and your
money will be refunded in full.
Risk Assessment
Please see the Risk Assessment page of this web site.
Eating Arrangements
The Castle has a tea room which seats approximately 50 people, as well as an
outdoor, covered picnic area which can accommodate up to 150 people.
The cafeteria sells a range of sandwiches, toasted baguettes, cakes,
cookies, popcorn and ice cream, as well as a selection of hot and cold
drinks.
The Toy Museum has a small refreshment room [maximum 30], which visiting groups are
welcome to use to eat their sandwiches.
Group Bookings & Payment
For both attractions, please pre-book by telephone (01279 813237) and then
confirm the booking in writing. Except in the case of very large
parties (where a deposit may be requested) payment is requested on the day
of the visit - we will give you a receipt in return. Please note that
you will only pay for the number of children and adults that actually visit
- we realise that numbers can vary on the day for a variety of reasons.
Booking Conditions
We expect that all visiting parties of children be adequately supervised.
Once a booking has been confirmed, as above, we expect the party to honour
that booking.
